University of Dallas Reviews
Rating 3.79 out of 5 539 reviews
Rating 3 out of 5
The University of Dallas is a school dedicated to academics, research, and complete devotion towards Catholicism.
This, to many who choose this school, is a big positive - and I'd recommend it to any homeschooled/private schooled hardcore Catholic kid with a love for the liberal arts. For any one who doesn't exactly fit these categories, look somewhere else!
Many students here are intensely Conservative/Catholic - and it's very rare to find people who don't fit that mold exactly. Still, a lot of the people are nice - and there's a great sense of community.
As for academics, we have a passible STEM program, and a good Liberal Arts core. The core classes are very exhausting and don't really help you. If you like Theology and Philosophy -it's good! Our Art Departments are dedicated, but small and outdated.
Clubs are very inactive, and unless you're in certain cliques, student life is non-existent. Parties are small, but pleasant. A U.D. experience genuinely depends on your friends.

Rating 4 out of 5
University of Dallas provides students with an environment ideal for finding friends, learning a wide variety of subjects, and securing a job soon after graduating. The professors strongly desire their students to succeed and utilize challenging but educational methods to help students succeed. Admittedly, the cost of attendance is daunting and while the education and the experience is very fulfilling, it may not be worth taking out student loans to pay for it. I love the experience I've had at UD and the people I've met while attending. They have helped form the person I am and helped make my University experience as amazing as it has been. I really like the ease of creating friendships, the challenging academics, and really everything about UD, but I think finding ways to minimize costs and helping students pay for school without student loans would be a huge plus.
