How to Make Peanut Sauce

Easy Peanut Sauce Recipe (2)

This Peanut Sauce recipe does not require any cooking, and the blender or food processor does all of the work, resulting in an incredible sauce you can use in any number of dishes in seconds.

Here’s how to make it.

Ingredients

Be sure to see the recipe card below for the full listing of ingredients, instructions, notes, and estimated nutritional information.

  • peanut butter – Use creamy peanut butter
  • soy sauce – You can use coconut aminos instead if you wish.
  • lime juice
  • honey
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • ginger – I use ground ginger most often so that it stays fresh when stored in the refrigerator, but you use a small knob if you choose to use fresh ginger.
  • garlic – I mostly use garlic powder, so the sauce lasts longer in the refrigerator when made ahead. If you want to use fresh garlic, you will use one clove.
  • red pepper flakes – Use just a pinch of this for a bit of spicy heat.
  • water
  • peanuts – Optional – Stir in some rough-chopped peanuts to the final sauce if you want.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Begin blending ingredients. Add the peanut butter, soy sauce (or coconut aminos), Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, honey, red pepper flakes, ginger, and garlic to the container of my blender or food processor.

Slowly add water. Keep the motor of the food processor running, slowly pour water through the chute, and blend until the sauce reaches the desired consistency.

Add peanuts (optional) – Stir in rough chopped dry roasted peanuts if you wish.

Storage Tips

To store – Place peanut sauce in a container with an airtight lid and keep it in the refrigerator for up to one week.

To freeze – Place sauce in a freezer-safe container with an airtight lid and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator and give it a stir prior to serving.

Recipe Tip

You can adjust the consistency of the peanut sauce with how much water you blend into the other ingredients. More water equals thinner sauce.
